Just Breathe. Take a nice, relaxing deep breath…Ahh! That’s how you’ll feel when you step inside the doors of Ampersand Integrative Wellness in Wyomissing. The spot opened in 2019 and is comprised of four owners who are also practitioners: Gabby Warner, Whitney George, Jesse Hershey and Stefano Sarge. A variety of other amazing practitioners and staff members make up Ampersand. As Integration Coordinator Laural Miller puts it, “Ampersand as a whole is the holistic wellness facility that offers integrative care.”
Upon entering, you’re immediately greeted not only by friendly staff, but with a relaxing, organic scent offering a sense of peace and tranquility. Any feelings of apprehension or anxiety are quickly washed away. Laural says, “I feel like when people enter our doors, they’re definitely going to feel that energy of just a breath of fresh air — like coming into a place surrounded by love and support and non-judgement.”

Integrative Initiatives & Unique Services
Clients are welcome to see any of the individual practitioners or they may choose to partake in integrative care. For an individual with a particular wellness goal in mind, they would meet with the integrative coordinator for an extensive assessment to ensure their particular goals are pinpointed. From there, they would be connected with specific practitioners to help reach their wellness goals. Laural says, “The really amazing thing about everything being under one roof is our practitioners work together, collaborate together to help you meet those goals, so they’re directly speaking about you and what your goals are, how you’re doing and they’re talking and troubleshooting and coming up with a plan together.” A client may also choose to simply tackle one area at a time.
Services to explore include massage therapy, personal training, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma touch therapy, grief counseling…list goes on. But Ampersand’s Integration Program is what sets it apart. Integration is the linking of differentiated elements into a functional whole. They explain, “With an integrated system, our lives become flexible, adaptive, coherent, energized, transformed and stable. As humans, we are multi-faceted beings with varying needs. Rather than separating areas of care, the integrated approach allows for multiple modalities to be unified, focusing on the client's whole being by utilizing the wellness wheel. Integrated services are client-led, and individuals are able to work with multiple practitioners who will work with them to create a wellness experience of different services designed to meet their current wellness needs. Clients will receive collaborative feedback, ongoing support and check-in sessions from all of their practitioners.”
Laural says, “At Ampersand we’re not [only] about treating symptoms, but we’re also about really focusing on the root cause of what’s creating these symptoms and how can we rebalance you and how can we find what that root cause is to help you get better.”

Did you know? The “&” symbol is a broken infinity symbol. With infinity, everything is always going forever, but with that “and” comes the breaking free of a pattern.
