New challenges of managing a home full of babies and farm life forced Timi Bauscher to leave her 15-year dental career. In 2016, she became a farmer, founder and CEO of The Nesting Box, LLC after purchasing 550 laying hens to market farm fresh brown eggs to the local community and restaurants. Her small retail farm stand quickly developed into a fully staffed, larger farm store in 2018. Along with the expansion she began fashioning artisan ice cream derived from a locally sourced dairy base. Knowing the flavors and textures she wanted to achieve, she created exclusive recipes now carried at local ice cream parlors and restaurants. For 2022, her sights are set on more parlors offering Nesting Box ice cream, along with a mobile ice cream unit for weddings.
