You and your child want to appreciate his or her teacher with a personalized gift from the heart before the school year concludes, but want to give her something more than the standard “You’re a great teacher” card or a basket of apples. What could you give him or her? Here are five fun ideas.
Sweet Treats.
Your teacher may have revealed his or her favorite sweet snack during the year, so that would be a great option, along with a cute note. It’s always nice to receive a gift that shows you were listening! Does he or she love chocolate? Perhaps you can pack up some ingredients to make s’mores with a note that says, “We need s’more teachers like you!”
More Coffee, Please.
We don’t know many teachers who aren’t fans of a cup of Joe here and there. Pick up a mug you can personalize – one with a chalkboard surface perhaps – write a nice message and pair it with a bag of your teacher’s favorite brew or include a gift card to his or her coffee spot of choice.
Growing up.
Is your teacher a gardening enthusiast? Plants are always a nice gift, especially this time of year when it’s easy to tend to a potted one or to transplant it into a garden at home. And there are so many to choose from – flowers, greens, veggies and more are all great options.
Pampering is Perfect.
If your son or daughter has a female teacher, chances are, she would love a bit of indulgent pampering. Put together a nice trio of nail polish in her favorite shade, some scented lotion and a fragrant candle for her to enjoy in her downtime.
Beach Basket.
Is your child’s teacher yearning to spend some summer time in the sunshine and sand? Why not pack a basket or bag of some fun in the sun favorites. Items to include might be a nice beach towel, some sunscreen, a fun read or a great portable/refillable water bottle.
