Come out to downtown Hamburg for a day of food, fun and festivities on Aug. 30 as the borough hosts its Taste of Hamburg-er Festival from 10am until 6pm. Boasting free admission, you can come and go as you please! A shuttle bus will run to and from area parking lots with parking costing $5.
Five areas of entertainment will feature more than 150 stands offering crafts and artwork. Vendors will attend the festival from near and far to sell their merchandise and to compete in the Best Burger Competition. With more than 30 burger stands, you can be the judge of which burger YOU think is best. Visitors can also watch or participate in professional and amateur hamburger eating contests.
In addition to the Best Burger Contest, there will also be a Beer and Wine Garden, a Dine and Dash foot race, plenty of downtown shopping, food and drinks galore, and much more. Want to make it an overnight trip? There are plenty of local hotels nearby with room for you to spend the night. Early reservations are recommended as many of the vendors travel from out of state to attend this event.
This festival is a great place to bring the whole family and spend the day outdoors. There will be many kids’ activities, games and even an Alpaca farm. The theme of this year’s Taste of Hamburg-er Festival will be “Superheroes,” so feel free to dress the part!
