Berks Counseling Center (BCC) is a recovery-oriented Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic servicing Berks County. We’re all about meeting the unique needs of those suffering from mental health, substance abuse and concomitant physical health disorders. Our collaborative and integrated approach is patient-focused, providing clients the care and encouragement needed and desired to lead a healthy and productive life in recovery.

BIG Vision Foundation

BIG Vision Foundation, a nonprofit organization, creates a BIG impact on Berks. We help develop today's youth into tomorrow's leaders through sports and community service by promoting volunteerism and giving back, driving our local economy.  We run youth sports tournaments at the BIG Vision Sports Complex with 8 baseball/softball fields, 4 multipurpose fields, 2 concession stands and 1 Fenway Park replica of "The Green Monster.”

Humane Pennsylvania

Humane Pennsylvania has graciously accepted a $3.1 million grant from The Giorgi Family Foundation. The grant is one of the largest in support of animal welfare services in U.S. history. The grant's purpose is to eliminate preventable animal suffering through a new Humane Society of Berks County facility, expanded community veterinary services, and elevated responsiveness to disasters that impact animals.

YMCA of Reading and Berks County

The YMCA of Reading and Berks County is offering Pre-K Counts programs at its Reading and Fleetwood childcare centers. The Y was awarded a grant by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning to offer free educational programming to 60 pre-school-age children and their families during the 2018-19 school year. Girls on the Run of Berks County

At Girls on the Run, we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one-of-a-kind. Trained coaches lead teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions and activities. Over the course of the program, 3rd-8th grade girls develop skills to help them navigate their worlds. The program culminates with a celebratory 5k event.

Jeff Woytovich and his wife, Betsy, founded the Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP) in 2004 from their home in Wyomissing. Today, it’s the largest nonprofit in the world devoted to children living with all forms of Alopecia, an incurable autoimmune hair loss disease. CAP has 50 CAP Kid Groups in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, South Africa and New Zealand.
