Humane Pennsylvania has graciously accepted a $3.1 million grant from The Giorgi Family Foundation. The grant is one of the largest in support of animal welfare services in U.S. history. The grant's purpose is to eliminate preventable animal suffering through a new Humane Society of Berks County facility, expanded community veterinary services, and elevated responsiveness to disasters that impact animals.

At Girls on the Run, we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one-of-a-kind. Trained coaches lead teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions and activities. Over the course of the program, 3rd-8th grade girls develop skills to help them navigate their worlds. The program culminates with a celebratory 5k event.

Jeff Woytovich and his wife, Betsy, founded the Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP) in 2004 from their home in Wyomissing. Today, it’s the largest nonprofit in the world devoted to children living with all forms of Alopecia, an incurable autoimmune hair loss disease. CAP has 50 CAP Kid Groups in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, South Africa and New Zealand.
