Or the Jelly Bean trail, in my case. That’s right, my favorite Easter tradition as a child was waking up to a jelly bean trail that started at the foot of my bed. It was a great way to start the day knowing that the Easter Bunny had come to our house!
After I would go to bed, my mom would painstakingly lay out a jelly bean trail throughout the house, starting upstairs and heading downstairs. When I was younger, the trail would lead right to my Easter basket. When I was older, the trail would lead to the room in which my basket was hidden; it was my job to find it. Added fun for me!
The trail would make loopity-loops and sometimes would lead me in the wrong direction and I would happily crawl along picking up the jelly beans in my special jelly bean basket. Oh, I just loved it!
Actually, I think each Easter I still wake up and look down from by bed for the jelly bean trail to know the Easter Bunny has come. Perhaps it’s a tradition you’d like to start with your own family. Trust me, it brings back wonderful memories!
Hippity, Hoppity Easter’s on its way!
