Feeling bit of cabin fever? Your cabin probably feels it too. Winter hibernating calls for freshening up our space with the warm and bright essence of a Citrus Spice Blend.
I’m only fond on one particular brand of candle. It’s locally made and soy based and it’s a treat to burn them. I used to hoard them, because they are not inexpensive. That was a bit absurd. What seems more ludicrous is tossing orange peels after eating an orange. I've found a balance between candle splurges and simmering my own home blended natural fragrance!
In between the candles and occasional incense, I put a small pot of Citrus Spice Blend on the stove for a yummy, comforting scent. Simmer Citrus Spice Blend when you know friends might be stopping by and you don't have time for a top to bottom house cleaning; after you have had a marathon soup making session and your kitchen won’t let go of the scent of sauteéd onions; or because you just need to feel a bit of creature comfort.
Be sure to check the water from time to time as the blend simmers. I set the stove or microwave timer for 30 minutes intervals to be sure the ingredients don’t cook in a pan with no liquid.
