The delicious but simple meal of French toast should never be underrated; it’s the “little black dress” of your recipe wardrobe — always appropriate for any situation! Here’s a fun, family-friendly twist on the standalone recipe. Slicing the bread into sticks means more golden crunch in each bite, and dipping sauces are fun for children. And we can all thank my father-in-law (the master French toast maker and pumpkin roll baker) for his suggestion of adding a dip into crushed cinnamon-crunch cereal. Enjoy!
