Camp Free Play is a one-week day camp that meets five afternoons. Cathy Jo Lutz, a school librarian in the Conestoga Valley School District, will spend time in the great outdoors with the campers. They will explore a different part of Rock Hollow Woods and then spend time playing. Research suggests that free play, especially in nature, is essential to cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Free play happens when children create their own agenda and play together. This kind of play occurs easily at Rock Hollow Woods because there are so many natural environments to stimulate creativity and discovery.
