1. Gring’s Mill Recreation Area, Wyomissing
Gring’s Mill may be one of the first places to come to mind when you think of a place to get your steps inlocally. There’s so much to explore on site. 2. Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, Elverson

3. Muhlenberg Rail Trail, Laureldale

4. Bob’s Woods at Earl Poole Sanctuary, Temple
Are you looking for a quiet nature walk? Earl Poole Sanctuary is for you! Explore the more than 33 acres of land owned by Berk’s Nature. 5. Antietam Lake Park and Angora Fruit Farm, Reading
Stroll along the 12 miles of trails surrounding Antietam Lake. You may even catch a glimpse of the waterfall that flows over a 60-foot-high rock formation. 6. Reading Public Museum, Reading
When thinking of places to enjoy the outdoors, the Reading Public Museum may not be the first place that comes to mind. However, the museum’s 25-acre arboretum is a peaceful place to take a stroll. Take in the beautiful flowers, flora and trees as you make your way across various bridges and through the park’s pathways. Don’t miss the outdoor art, too.
