When I want to look my best, I shop locally at Bills Khakis. I’ve got my eye on a pair of their Island Twill Parker Shorts in Mango. Would you rock a bow tie? Yes. Bills fashions the kind of high quality wear their American Heritage deserves, and I'm proud to support them in Reading. I'd totally rock a bow tie! They're the best accessory to add a little fun to your formal wear. I prefer to accessorize in colors that pop with print; ones that complement rather than match. – Collin Oswald, Sorrelli

Looking for some culture in Berks? I head to GoggleWorks Center for the Arts to check out the galleries, the Yocum Institute to see the latest exhibitions, & the Reading Public Museum for the impressive collections to see great local art. “When thinking of destinations or places to go in Berks County to see local art, the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts and the Yocum Institute immediately come to mind. Although they are on two different scales in terms of facilities and programs, they are abundant in local art in terms of painting, sculpture and drawings. The galleries of the GoggleWorks are always displaying Berks County talent as does the Yocum Institute. Their schedules of exhibitions and showings is phenomenal for our area. The quality of the work that they display is first class. But the real treasure house for both local and international art is our own Reading Public Museum. This cultural institution is a museum, an art gallery, a planetarium and an arboretum, on 25 compact acres! The Museum is our own mini-Smithsonian! We have over 26 collections under the umbrella of "the collection.” It has world class fine art, outstanding permanent exhibits of cultural artifacts and well planned and topical traveling exhibits. The showing of its permanent collection for this year's centennial celebration is eye-opening. The concerts, lectures and special exhibitions are just grand events for community socialization,” explains Olsen.– Lee Olsen, Olsen Design Group Architects

Three tips to remember to impress your lady is tell her how much you love her, hold her hand, give her kisses, and also a backrub, after a wonderful dinner out at one of Greater Reading’s excellent restaurants, going home and having a bottle of champagne with strawberries and blueberries listening to classic rock and having fun. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want
-
Nathan Brant, South Mountain YMCA –
- 1. A picture my wife, Kristi, and three my little girls, Annalee, Dahlia and Gwyneth
- 2. A guitar
- 3. And perhaps a satellite phone so I can eventually get off the island . . . If the phone violates the spirit of the question, leave me with a notebook & pen.
-
Tom Minick, Alvernia University
- I’d spare my family from this hardship and would take
-
a lighter
-
a knife
-
my dog, Jeter.

Patrick J. Dolan, AIA, LEED AP Dolan Construction, Inc.
- I would probably ask for qualifications to the question. Where am I stranded? Is it a nice warm South Pacific island with sandy beaches and plenty of food and water source on the island, and maybe a doctor? If so, I would answer that I’ll take my wife Kim, and kids Mairéad and Liam (convenient that we are a family of four for this question!).But ok, if I could have only three things I would have to ask for the obvious, means to survival and a way off (again, unless it’s in the South Pacific!). I’d ask for
-
water
-
a satellite phone (fully charged)
-
and a big boat!
- 4. Craig Poole, Crowne Plaza (General Manager)
- 1. My wife of 42 years, Melissa
- 2. Bible
- 3. No trespassing sign
