Holiday Spiced Candied Nuts

Holiday Spiced Candied Nuts
Prep Time: 2 mins

Cook Time: 15-20 mins

Ingredients 

    • 3 cups raw mixed nuts of your choice (I used almonds, pecans and cashews)
    • ¼ cup maple syrup
    • 1 Tbsp coconut sugar
    •  ½ tsp cinnamon
    •  ¼ tsp (or more) cayenne pepper
    • ¼ tsp ground coriander
    • ¼ tsp cardamom
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • 1 egg white

Instructions 

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    1. Add all the nuts to a medium bowl.
    1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Discard about a quarter of it.
    1. Add the rest of the ingredients along with the egg white to the nuts and make sure they’re well coated.
    1. Scoop coated nuts onto a large cookie sheet (leave behind any additional coating) and roast on the top rack until crispy and fragrant – about 20 minutes. Stir once after 10 minutes.
    1. Let nuts cool completely before serving.
    1. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

* Tip: These make a perfect holiday gift for friends, family and neighbors. Just place in a cute tin container!
