What’s special about this featured drink? The Cherry Street Manhattan is a spin on a perfect Manhattan with the Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur acting in place of the traditional sweet vermouth. We also use a rye whiskey in lieu of bourbon. In fact, Dad's Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey is made in Bristol; it's both delicious and local!
For what occasion would you recommend this cocktail? Any sophisticated night out. A Manhattan is the perfect drink to start your evening. It's also delicious with almost any type of food.
The Cherry Street Manhattan

Ingredients:

- 3 ounces Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey

- 1 ounce dry vermouth

- Half-ounce Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters

- Amarena cherry for garnish
Instructions: Fill your shaker with ice, add all ingredients with their corresponding amounts, shake vigorously and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an Amarena cherry. Voila!

Katie Kinsey has been bartending at Judy’s on Cherry since 2016. Although new to the bartending scene at the time, she had been working in restaurants since a young age. Since starting as the bar manager at Judy's, Katie has been concocting modern cocktails as well as perfecting the classics. “Bartending at Judy's gives me the freedom to play around with fresh ingredients and make all my own infusions, syrups and shrubs,” says Kinsey.
Any special bartending tips? This drink is all alcohol, so make sure your measurements are correct in order to get the flavor that you want. Also, while you could make this Manhattan with bourbon, the bite of the rye whiskey is what really makes it special.
