Spring brings renewal and a cleansing of winter habits. Jeremy Sayer founded Renewal Kombucha on three core values: good for the body, good for the community, and good for the earth.
A perfect pairing for the spring wedge salads in the March 2018 issue of Berks County Living would be kombucha cocktails. Locally brewed kombucha is now easy to find with the recent opening of Renewal Kombucha at 701 Court St., West Reading, behind Nonno Alby’s Brick-oven Pizza.
Jeremy shared a recipe for Tequila Mockingbird. “The ingredients are pretty simple and readily available,” he says. “This one also uses one of our flagship flavors, so the kombucha used in the recipe is available year-round at our shops.” Jeremey also suggests getting creative with non-alcoholic kombucha recipes by mixing it with freshly pressed juices or fruit juice.
Happy Spring!
