Capas Limonada (Layered Lemonade)

Pretty layers, delicious tropical flavors, and an ice-cold chill almost hide the kick for which this drink is known. The ultimate summer relaxin’ drink has arrived.

Ingredients

(makes 4 servings)

• • 6 ounces vodka

• • 3 cups lemonade

• • 2 cups frozen mango

• • 2 cups chopped strawberries

• • 3 cups ice

• • lemon slices (optional)

• • strawberries (optional)

Equipment

• • blender

• • plastic cup or bowl (2)

• • glasses or mason jars for serving

Instructions

1. 1. Fill blender with mango, 2 ounces vodka, 1 cup lemonade and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth. Place mixture into a separate plastic bowl or cup and freeze for 30 minutes. Rinse blender.

1. 1. Fill blender with strawberries, 2 ounces vodka, 1 cup lemonade and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth. Place mixture to a separate in a plastic bowl or cup and freeze until ready to serve. Rinse blender.

1. 1. Fill blender with remaining vodka, lemonade and ice. Blend until smooth. Place mixture to a separate in a plastic bowl or cup and freeze until ready to serve.

1. 1. Pour each mixture into serving glasses creating layers by starting with the mango mix, then adding the strawberry lemonade mix, and ending with the lemonade mix.

1. 1. Garnish with lemon slices and strawberries. (optional)

*Tip: Substitute tequila for vodka for more of a margarita feel.
