This may be the simplest way to make a great cup of coffee! If you have a coffee press it will make it easier, but it’s not impossible without.
The difference between a cold-brewed coffee and an iced coffee is simple. The cold-brewed coffee is steeped overnight in the refrigerator and then strained. It allows the flavors to develop without some of the bitterness that might occur with a hot brew.
Iced coffee is a traditional hot brewed coffee, then cooled. It is often brewed strong so that the addition of ice does not dilute the flavor. Sometimes this is a great way to use leftover coffee. Just refrigerate it for later use.
Cold-Brewed Coffee

Yields 2 servings
To filter the coffee you’ll need a coffee press, fine filter, cheesecloth or a clean tea towel you don’t mind staining.
Use purified or filtered water for the cleanest taste.
Ingredients

- 2 cups filtered water

- 5 Tbsp coarsely ground coffee beans
Instructions

- Combine and stir water and coffee in a clean-lidded jar. Refrigerate overnight.

- Strain the grounds by transferring to a coffee press or pour over your filter of choice. If after pouring over the filter you find it has too many grinds, repeat the pour over.

- Serve with cream or sugar. Store unused coffee in the refrigerator.
