Awards show season is Tinseltown's most glamorous time of the year. Celebrities wearing gorgeous gowns and sparkling jewels wow fans of all ages. In honor of awards season, we decided to play dress-up with four local beauties, having them re-create iconic red carpet moments with fashions you can find right here in Berks!
Deana Barcz of Muhlenberg as Julia Roberts
In 2001, Julia Roberts scored the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Erin Brockovich. On the red carpet, she stunned onlookers when she stepped out in the now iconic vintage Valentino dress circa 1992. Here, Deana is wearing a strapless ivory and black two-toned gown by Jovani. Deana's transformation began to take shape once the glam squad completed a modern version of Julia’s chignon up-do and exaggerated liner. Lastly, who could forget some sparkle to catch the cameras' flashes?

Essence Moffat of Reading as Halle Berry
At the 2011 Academy Awards, Halle Berry smoldered in a nude tulle and beaded Marchesa gown. Berry has been known to steal a carpet or two, and we think this was one of her most iconic moments. Essence was practically a dead ringer for the Oscar-winning actress, signature crop hairstyle and all, once she slipped into the blush-colored strapless tulle trumpet gown by Jovani.

Courtney Dvorak of Kutztown as Angelina Jolie
In 2005, Angelina Jolie wore a beaded champagne tulle gown with a beaded black belt on the red carpet. Courtney's dark hair, piercing blue eyes and facial features made her the perfect candidate to pull off the screen siren's look. Courtney is wearing an ivory tulle gown accented with silver sequins by Adrianna Papell. Her locks were kept sleek and chic in a low ponytail at the nape of her neck. With Angelina's signature feature being her full lips, make-up artist Patricia Solis of Makeup by Trish applied a gorgeous red color to Courtney’s perfect pout. Completing the look are a pair of spectacular statement earrings by Alexis Bittar and a black grosgrain ribbon tied around her upper waist.

Mia Colamarino of Shillington as Hailee Steinfeld
In 2011 at age 14, Hailee Steinfeld was nominated for an Oscar for her role in True Grit. Hailee joins a handful of child and teenage actors to be considered by the Academy. At the event, she wore a gown she helped design with Georgina Chapman of Marchesa. To reinvent the look, Mia wore a white chiffon gown with an embroidered illusion at the neckline. A rhinestone hairband was added to put the finishing touches on her red carpet look.

In 2012, Jessica Chastain was nominated in a supporting role for her performance in The Help. With the assistance of her stylist, Chastain selected a black Alexander McQueen gown with intricate gold embroidery and details in which to walk the red carpet. To capture Jessica's Oscar look, Elaine is wears a black lace gown with gold lace applique from Jovani's evening gown collection. Crystal and gold jewelry make perfect accent pieces. To complete the look, Elaine’s ginger locks were pulled away from her eyes to show off her fair complexion.
