A New Year, A New Start
Happy 2024! We hope you’ve kicked off the year on a positive note and are thrilled you’re doing it with Berks County Living in hand (or online).
We’re getting started with our annual Weddings issue, and this one is especially near and dear to my heart as my own wedding is featured. While getting married at the age of 47 is a bit daunting, and not necessarily the norm, it sure is rewarding and was a day I’ll forever hold close to my heart. To the other two couples featured — starting on page 20 — huge congratulations are in order for making it through the planning stages and to the Big Day, and cheers to a wonderful life ahead.
For those who may be in the wedding planning stages, or if you know someone who is, you may want to flip to our handy reception guide, starting on page 26.
Also in this month’s issue, we feature another love of mine: breakfast. They sure do it right at Annamarie’s on Main in Birdsboro. Whether you love good ol’ bacon and eggs or fluffy blueberry pancakes (like I do), it’s absolutely a must-visit. Learn more in our Dining Out feature on page 38.
Looking to do a bit of redecorating at home? Perhaps you’d like to go hygge. We delve into just what it entails in our Living In Style article on page 32.
Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!
