C is for Cake. What’s your style? Flavor? Who will bake it? How many tiers will it be? Cupcakes or regular cake? Will you supplement with a sheet cake? So many decisions!
D is for Dress. Shopping for a gown? Are you thinking sexy? Classic? White? Study the styles you like and clip examples to bring along for your shopping appointments.
E is for Engagement Ring. What do you think your loved one will like? Has he or she dropped hints? Are they trendy or classic? Do you know the correct size?
F is for Flowers. Make sure you know which are in season during your season. This can help you save money on the expense.
G is for Guests. How many do you plan to have? It’s a big determining factor for your budget, chosen ceremony and reception site, your caterer and so much more.
H is for Honeymoon. Discuss what your style is with your partner. Are you adventurers? Want to lay back on a beach? Explore Wine Country? Travel abroad? Make sure you two are on the same page before you visit your travel agent.
I is for Invitations. Consider your wedding color palette and style, as well as what wording you’d like to use. Are you formal or casual? Do you want to include a registry or wedding site link?
J is for Jewels. Are you big on bling or do you want to keep things simpler? Go with as much, or as little sparkle, as you’d like.
K is for Keepsakes. What favor will you have for guests to take to remember your big day? Options are endless and include candles, foods and other customized pieces.
L is for Love. It’s what your Big Day centers on. Make sure you include touches special to the two of you first and foremost.
M is for Music. Would you prefer a live band? A DJ? To pre-record your own setlist and have someone aid in pushing play?
N is for Name. Will you be changing your name? Make sure you get all the details on how to do it and where you’ll put it into play.
O is for Officiant. Did you know you really could have anyone you like act as your officiant? All they need to do is look into being ordained and complete the process in the required manner and time frame.
P is for Photographer. If you have a particular photographer you MUST have, be sure to inquire early. Otherwise, study styles and interview those you love most to find a fit.
Q is for Quiet Time. Oftentimes, the thing couples wish they could change about their Big Day is to have more time to themselves, or to slow down and enjoy the moment. Think about this upfront and plan for it.
R is for Reception. What kind of after-ceremony event suits your couple personality? A big party? A brunch? An intimate dinner?
S is for Seating. Do you want to assign seats to your guests or let them choose?
T is for Tuxes. The guys need to look good, too. Determine where you’ll rent or purchase attire and make sure you allot enough time for doing so.
U is for Umbrella. May rain come into play on your Big Day? If there’s a chance, we suggest investing in those clear umbrellas so you can get out and enjoy the most of the day and still capture some stunning images, too.
V is for Vows. Do you want to keep them traditional? Write your own? What tone do you want them to have? Serious? Romantic? Funny?
W is for Ways to and From. How will you get to your ceremony and reception site? Carriage ride? Limo? Classic car?
X is for X-tras. Like we said, wedding options are practically endless. Do you want to invest in a coordinator? Professional design? Decide what is most important to you and what suits your budget.
Y is for You. Remember your Big Day is about you two. If you love it, do it! Don’t let other opinions sway your decisions.
Z is for Zzzs. Wedding planning can be exhausting, especially the closer you get to your date. Be sure to carve out time to relax and decompress.
