Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit
to
Reading Public Museum 500 Museum Road, Reading, Pennsylvania 19611
Come join a curious Tyrannosaurus Rex named Buddy who travels the world to discover everything there is to know about dinosaurs! Based on the PBS® KIDS series Dinosaur Train, the exhibition embraces and celebrates the fascination kids have with both dinosaurs and trains. Children will join Buddy and his adoptive Pteranodon family on a whimsical journey to unearth basic concepts in life science, natural history, and paleontology.
Hop on the Dinosaur Train and travel back in time to the Age of Dinosaurs, visiting all three periods of the Mesozoic Era (250 to 65 million years ago) – the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous. Turn the time travel dial, pretend to be a Dinosaur Train engineer, and get ready to explore! In this immersive exhibition, families can learn the characteristics of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, and how dinosaurs are classified into these groups, and put their math skills to the test by comparing the sizes and measurements of different dinosaurs. Along the way, dress up and pretend to be a Pteranodon family in their nest, and interact with real and replica fossils to learn how scientists use fossils to make exciting dino discoveries!
This exhibit will be on display at RPM from September 28, 2024 to January 19, 2025.
