Happy 2022! As usual, we’re kicking off the year at Berks County Living with love in the form of our annual Weddings Issue. Whether you’re looking for love, are in love, are engaged or even married, we think it’s always a great time to toast to love.
Personally, this year’s issue is a bit closer to my heart as I recently became engaged this past
October. I have to admit, it has given me a whole new perspective on, and appreciation for, wedding planning and marriage, too. There are so many things to consider, which was part of the inspiration for our The Look: Battle of the Wedding Trends spread on pages 18 and 19. Wedding fads come and go, so it’s fun to see just what everyone loves.
My favorite part of every Weddings issue we put together is sharing the newlywed stories from Berks couples who are so generous in submitting them to us for consideration. We have some really great ones this year. Just flip to page 22 to get started reading them.
Also in this issue, we welcome a new quarterly column celebrating local arts and artists by writer Marian Frances Wolbers, Art Originals. You can find the first installment on page 11. And our
Living In Style story on page 32 serves up some decorating inspiration for the bedroom and – even better – tips for experiencing more restful sleep. That’s something we’d all enjoy, I’m sure.
