From special events, decoration contests and more than 30 merchants in town eager to help you find the right gift, the Downtown district is gearing up for a joyous holiday season. Join us, on Sunday Dec. 2, as Main Street is decked in its finest holiday cheer during the Main Street Christmas event.
It’s a day full of festivities for all ages, including breakfast with Santa at the Kutztown Fire Department, the 2012 House Tour to benefit the Louisa Gonser Community Library, children’s story hours throughout the day at Firefly Bookstore on Main Street, a “Which elf is on the shelf?” scavenger hunt, caroling, the tree lighting and much more!

Businesses will offer extended hours to help early shoppers get a jump start on their list this year and Kutztown Community Partnership gift cards will be available so you can gift the gift of shopping at more than 30 locations in Downtown Kutztown!
At Bamboula, shoppers can pick up holiday items like nativity sets and ornaments from Kenya and Ghana, says owner Jasperdean Kobes.
Elaine Kilgannon of Second Nature Health Food is also set at her store. “We are preparing to welcome the holiday season by fully stocking great gift ideas and tantilizing treats…everything from candles to cookies, turkeys to tofurkeys, soy nog to stocking stuffers, gift certificates and more!” she exclaims.
And for those jewelry lovers looking for something extra special, don’t forget to stop in at Sorrelli. Between Black Friday, Nov. 23 and Dec. 31, shoppers can score a great deal with their buy 1, get 1 40 percent off sale. The Sorrelli store will also be open on Christmas Eve from 9am-3pm, for you last-minute types.
