Spicy Margarita
What better way to celebrate summer than with seasonal fruits paired with a margarita! Try this Spicy Blackberry Margarita, my spin on margaritas, with some Ricotta Toast from the June, 2018 issue, for a flavorful, light meal.
Spicy Blackberry Margarita

Makes one cocktail
Ingredients
- 8 fresh blackberries
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 slices of jalapeño, cut into rings
- 1 ounce silver tequila
- 1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
- Juice from 1/2 lime
- Crushed ice
- Orange peel for garnish
Instructions
1. Muddle the blackberries, sugar and jalapeño in a cocktail shaker.
2. Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and crushed ice and shake 15 seconds.
3. Rim a glass with lime juice and salt. Garnish with curled orange peel.
