It seems summer-like temps settled in early. With outdoor grilling in mind, I reached out to my favorite local beer connection for a hot day, beer cocktail recipe. Kevin's Blushing Belgian recipe is perfect for summer sipping.

It was just a whim of mine, a beer cocktail, and he pulled through with his recipe. I’ll admit I was rather surprised (though I never doubt Kevin) how darn tasty, juicy and refreshing it turned out. Kevin recommended a Belgian-style wheat beer for the base. I went to the local brewing experts at Stoudt’s Brewery to find one.
Stoudt’s Heifer-in-Wheat was perfect in this cocktail and with 12 IBUs it’s easy sipping. If you are looking to add a bit more spice and fruit, try the Triple. It has 37 IBUs so you may only have one, but it will be one good drink on a hot day!
