callie the bunny
Facebook Fan Favorite:
Callie the Bunny, age 3
AKA: CallieBunBun (also my Instagram handle)
Mom: Courtney Armistead of Shillington
Just how Giant are you? I’m medium-sized because I’m not a pure Flemish Giant. Last time I had a checkup, I weighed 8 pounds.
What makes you a great companion? I like to cuddle and give kisses, but I also like to be left alone sometimes. The perfect balance, you know how it is!
Favorite toys? Treats? My favorite toy is my “coco.” My mom drilled holes in a hollow coconut and she fills it with pellets for me. Then I roll it around trying to get them out. My favorite treat is a BANANA! Maybe I’m a minion…
My day isn’t complete without: my fresh greens in the morning.
My alter-ego would have to be: Penelope Pussy-cat from Looney-Toons. My mom’s boyfriend always wants to cuddle with me, but I play hard-to-get.
I confess, mom doesn’t like it when I…chew on her things. I’ve chewed her boots, jeans, blankets, cords, carpet… Oops?
Most memorable moment: I will never forget when mom brought me home. Apparently, she didn’t tell her dad about me, so he was pretty mad. But my cuteness won him over in a matter of minutes!
Something you may not have guessed about me: I am a free-roam, litterbox-trained bun!

henry the bassett hound
Staff Pick:
Henry the Bassett Hound, age 2
AKA: Hank, Pankers, Hank-a-saurus-rex, Long dog, horse...I don't actually know what my real name is.
Mom and Dad: Emily Pinko and Harrison Sides of Wyomissing
What makes you a great companion? I am a very good cuddler and I will keep you warm by being the little spoon.
Are you really as sad as you look? No, of course not. I just pretend to look sad to get more snuggles.
I use my big ears to…chew on. I use my paws to push them into my mouth. I've been obsessed since birth.
Favorite toys/treats? My orange squeaky bone from my grandma is my favorite. Well, really any toy my sister is playing with, I MUST play with. Ice cubes are one of my favorite treats.
My day isn’t complete without: Running laps around the house and inspecting every counter for food.
I confess, mom and dad don’t like it when I…steal and eat tissues.
Most memorable moment: Earning the title "Canine Good Citizen" with the help of my family and friends at Whoodles.
Something you may not have guessed about me: I am working on becoming a therapy dog!

Lola the Kitty, age 1
AKA: Lil’ bup, Baby Cat
Mom and Dad: Sally O’Reilly and Craig Weidenhammer of Fleetwood
What makes you a great companion? I’m a talker; I’m a good mouser; I’m good at cute; I come when I’m called; I’m silly…the list goes on.
Are you sweet or sassy? Both. It depends on my mood. I’m a cat after all.
Favorite sleeping spot: The window sill. Spying and sleeping are my favorites.
Favorite toys/treats? I’m a mouser. I like my toys still breathing – at least at first.
My day isn’t complete without: A suckle with my daddy.
My alter-ego is: No one. I’m just me. I think that’s what makes me the most unique. And “me” keeps mom and dad on their toes enough as it is (snicker).
I confess, mom and dad don’t like it when I…wake them before the alarm goes off.
Most memorable moment: When my daddy built me my catio.
Something you may not have guessed about me: I’m an outdoor girl. I love to sit outside on my catio and enjoy the night air.

bubby the cockatoo
Staff Pick:
Bubby the Cockatoo, age – it’s a mystery!
Fun Fact: I’m a rescue bird!
Mom’s name: Crystal Jeschonek of Topton
What makes you a great companion? I am easy to keep happy. I just sit on my perch or roam the house exploring, and sometimes sit with my owner.
Do you speak, sing? If so, what are your favorite songs/topics/noises? I don’t make a lot of noises or talk yet. I may have in the past, but a lot happened before my new family got me so I was mute in the beginning, but I am slowly coming out of my shell. I laugh sometimes, squawk if no one’s in the room with me but know they are home, or I make weird little calls.
Favorite toys? Treats? I’m afraid of most of them, but I do play with water bottles from time to time. My favorite treat would probably be peanuts and crackers.
My day isn’t complete without: a kiss goodnight.
My alter-ego is: Max the Cockatoo on YouTube. I love watching his videos, and my mom and I would love to get me to that point someday.
I confess, my mom doesn’t like it when I…sneak out of my cage when she’s not home and get into things. I confess; I like to unlock my cage.
Most memorable moment: when my mom took me in and kept me. I finally had a home, and I didn’t have to worry about constantly being on the go.
Something you may not have guessed about me: I was abused prior to finding my forever home and I cannot fly.
