Long time best friends, April George and Amanda Henn are the owners of The Mint Leaf in Leesport, PA. In 2014, they started refinishing old, worn furniture to bring it back to life and keep it out of the landfill. They started in their basements with a Facebook page and a dream. Soon, their basements were overflowing, and they needed to find more space. In March of 2018, they purchased and renovated the 1800’s property where The Mint Leaf is now located. Little did they know just how big it would become. There are now over 50 small businesses, most of which are also women-owned! A recent expansion into the farmhouse on the property has led to more local artisans on the lower level and a holistic wellness center and boutique upstairs. There is a lot to explore in the barn and farmhouse. You will find a wide variety of housewares, clothing, jewelry, food items and many other treasures. This keeps customers coming back regularly to see what new items have arrived. Amanda and April are excited to continue to grow and be a positive part of the community for years to come.
