Meet the young professionals of the Crowne Plaza Reading sales team! Ranging in age from 33-43 years, this team showcases a balance of fierce professional women and hard-working moms. They love their community and take great pride in being young professionals in Berks County.
At the Crowne Plaza, they know what it takes to be a time-tested, success-driven pillar of the Greater Reading/Wyomissing community. You don’t simply book a room or plan an event — you build a relationship.
The team is led by Director of Sales Sheila Contento. A local to Berks County, Sheila spent a few years working in minor league baseball prior to joining the team; she is looking forward to celebrating her 10th anniversary with the hotel this fall. Director of Corporate Catering Carolyn Spano has been a familiar face in the Berks County community for years, having previously worked for the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce. Have you attended an event at the Crowne Plaza Reading and been WOWed? Laura Taylor was more than likely behind it. As our Director of Special Events, Laura brings an unsurpassed level of creativity to all her events. Corporate Sales Manager Bernadette Berrios is no stranger to the hospitality industry, as she’s been in the field for more than a decade. Born on the island of Puerto Rico and raised in the lively New York City, she planted her roots in Reading, where her heart is now. Last but certainly not least, Abby Lerch is the newest addition to the team, having come from the Lancaster market. With a strong background in sports management, Abby’s competitive nature is a perfect fit.
