Now more than ever before, men have an amazing selection of formalwear to choose from and the decision has become just as important as what she will be wearing when it comes to the big day. Locations like Fifty-Fifty Tuxedos in Sinking Spring are a great place to start when you’re looking for expert advice on what to wear for that special occasion. We’re very fortunate to have an establishment like this, considered to be one of the oldest family-run tuxedo businesses in the nation [in Berks]. With more than 4,000 tuxedo options and an on-site dry cleaning facility, who could ask for more?
When shopping for your formalwear, it’s best to begin three to four months prior to the occasion. Additionally, ensure you try on many different styles and take your time to find the perfect one for you. We checked in with three recently married gentlemen who rented their formalwear from Fifty-Fifty Tuxedos to find out how they made their choices.
Adam Nigrelli
Age 31, Sinking Spring | Married to Jaime on October 20, 2012 | Reception at Eden Resort, Lancaster
Classic and traditional was on Adam’s mind when he chose his tuxedo for the wedding. He also has a larger build and wanted to feel comfortable in what he selected for his wedding day. He felt black would look best on his frame. Adam initially looked at a black tux with a gray vest and tie, but didn’t feel it conveyed his style. He was ultimately very happy with a black vest, tie, and pocket square for his traditional fall wedding.
Steve Binder
Age 28, Wyomissing | Married to Laura on October 27, 2012 | Reception at French Creek Golf Club

Steve was looking for something less traditional and more unique. As soon as he entered the store, he saw the look he wanted to wear. It was a chocolate brown pinstripe Calvin Klein tuxedo, which Steve knew would be perfect for his fall themed wedding and would match the bridesmaids’ brown dresses. Originally, Steve was planning on a gray tux, but both he and his fiancé felt this was the right choice. Paired with a mocha tie and pocket square, it translated into a very sharp, fall-inspired look.
Carl Weidner
Age 26, Mohnton | Married to Melissa on September 8, 2012 | Reception at Stokesay Castle

When Carl envisioned what he’d wear on his wedding day, he pictured himself wearing something other than the traditional black tux. His soon-to-be wife was not too enthusiastic about Carl wearing white, so he thought gray might be the next best option. Carl’s choice turned out to be exactly the look he was going for. He chose a beautiful darker gray tux with a light gray lapel, which was then paired with a classic ivory vest, shirt, pocket square, and tie. It was definitely the perfect choice for Carl’s traditional, classic style wedding.
